A Story of A Girl

I have made it ! Last blog for this novel. Actually, the book turned out not so bad after all. Stacey did return home after being missing for 24 hours. Apparently Darren was not to happy and Stacey went her parents' house to stay. Deanna returned home from Jason and her day of outing together. I have done that with my friends when I was out of school for the summer. Deanna checked out the basement and found her brother and the baby. Deanna found out that Stacy went to stay else where for awhile. Deanna did not forget that almost touching moment with her dad in the kitchen while Stacy was gone. Later on Stacey and Darren talked about what had happened. It was settled. School was about to start in a few weeks and Lee and Deanna have not spoken for awhile. Deanna was wondering when Lee would chew her out for kissing Jason. Jason did tell Lee about the moment between Deanna and him. Deanna kept working and gathered things for school. Darren and Stacy were collecting boxes to begin packing for their new home. Darren told Deanna about the move. Darren told her he would take her to school. The first day of school Deanna was REALY nervous about seeing Lee and Jason. She was wondering if they would be waiting for her at their regular meeting spot. When Darren pulled up to the school she looked around. Deanna spotted Jason and to her surprise there was Lee by his side. Deanna got out of the car and crossed several grassy areas. All three were standing together with their book bags. Are we ready? Each of them said yes. They turned around and headed for classes. Dumb ending.

A Story of A Girl

This week I'm towards the end of the book. Deanna as we left off the last time. Told Tommy off about how he started rumors about her but, he forgot to tell what part he played. Deanna still needed to make things right with her dad. Her dad made a snide remark about her getting a ride from work by her boss Mike. Deanna let her father know that Mike was gay. Deanna/s friend Lee went on a camping trip with her family. Deanna called up her friend Jason. They made plans with each other to go to the mall. Deanna was thinking that Lee told him about Deanna's commit on the subject of no sex with Jason. Hey, I would of said the same thing to her. Jason did not mention any thing about Lee;So she felt relieved. Deanna withdrew some money that she had saved thinking her and her brother and little family would move in together. Deanna tried on clothes and ended up back in her own clothes. She was thinking of a change. I did that a lot also. I just stayed myself. After the afternoon together. Deanna and Jason went to his house. After the visit. Deanna was by the front door to leave and than it HAPPENED. She kissed Jason. ON THE LIPS! Jason sorta pulled her closer with their lips still pressing on each other. Deanna stopped. Darn, I was getting really warm . No, that was a hot flash with me. Sorry. Deanna was starting to say she was sorry but, Jason said it was his fault also. Deanna left to go home. Few days later Deanna did not have a ride home from work. She walked to Safe way where Stacy was suppose to be working. Stacey was gone but, the car was still parked in the parking lot. Deanna manged to get home. She told Darren about what she knew about Stacey. Darren ended up packing clothes for him and the baby. He had a idea where Stacey might of went. Darren did not realize that Stacy was upset when he did not notice her hair like she wanted him too. Darren also knew that Stacy was a wild when he met her.

Story of A Girl Author:Sara Zark

Hello again. I left off about Deanna and her work place. The book has gotten my attention for the fact I had to settle down and rethink what I was like at thirteen  and aging. Deanna had a visitor at her work place prior to her going on duty. This was planned because her friend Lee had a BIG QUESTION for Deanna. I am sure some time in our lives we had a friend who relied on our opinion and experiences. This was the case with Lee. Deanna never mentioned that Tommy worked there with her. Lee only heard about him from Deanna. Lee does not investigate Deanna statements  concerning her life. However, Lee really considered Deanna as a true friend.Deanna and Lee get settled into a booth at the pizza parer. Lee is sorta shy bit VERY much wants to ask Deanna if she should approach Jason ( boyfriend of Lee's and a friend to Deanna) about having sex. Lee was ready for the next step in their relationship.Deanna kept digging into the seat of the booth. She dug deep enough that she started picking the foam which was crusty on account of aging. That meant Deanna was irritated because of the subject and Tommy delivered their pizza order at the table. Of course he brought attention onto himself because of the flirtatious way he introduced himself to Lee. He's a dog.I have seen that kind of guy before. Even at my age and the dude was my age.Guys do act stupider as they get older. I think because of middle age. Deanna's answer for Lee was a no, I don't think at this time . Deanna already is dealing with her feelings about her experience with Tommy. She suffers from low self esteem because of it. I believe Deanna has a slight crush on Jason.Deanna concludes their visit and Lee is not happy with the results but, oh well. Deanna is on the job and Tommy catches her in the doorway of the freezer. As a teaser as he is. He gets close to her body. Oh boy, Deanna feels those romantic feelings. She resists him because she has learned her lesson concerning Tommy. After work Deanna was with out a ride home. Guess who offers her a ride? Yep dear ole Tommy. They leave the parking lot but, he turns the opponent direction to her house. To make it short. Tommy went to the same parking lot that they got caught in by her dad. He wanted some sexual action. But WAIT! Deanna refuses and tells Tommy off. She lets him have it for all the crap he had put her through.THAT A GIRL! By doing so I believe Deanna was on the road to recovery about herself.

A Story Of a Girl By Sara Zark

I was a little bored with this book. However, as I got into it; the book was really not that bad. Deanna Lambert is the star. She decides her and her friend Lee went out looking for a job. More Deanna then Lee. Deanna wanted to work and save her money so when her brother and his little family get a place of their own Deanna would move with them. That was her secret plan. My first job at sixteen was Monical's pizza. The thing with Deanna she still looked down on herself because her dad not speaking to her. The whole incident just stuck in her mind day after day. I would of given her dad every chance to speak to her. At breakfast and dinner time. Right there in the same room. Instead she bypasses him. Deanna got the job at the pizza place. Guess who worked there? Tommy Weber. Remember he is the one who had Deanna in the back seat of his Buick. OH YUK! Hey, she was brave. Deanna remained as a employee and the boss was real cool. He noticed Deanna attitude with Tommy. She sorta gave him an insight but not much. Michael was a very understanding guy even though his restaurant was slow in business and kinda dumpy. YOU don't even want to know what he uses in his salad. Hint. Lettuce that is just about to go bad with brown edges. Timed passed as she worked all her schedule days.

Story of A Girl Author:Sara Zark

I am in the middle of the book and it was not what I thought it would be. Instead the only drama is how and why she looks down on herself. The reasons is she got caught by her dad in the back seat of a Buick with a seventeen year old and she was only thirteen. All she wanted was to be love I d or in her words belong to some one. Bottom line was that she wanted to grow up in that area before her time. I thought I had it bad when my dad would drill and brain pick my dates.Which dates were far in between. I really did not have time for boys. There was a close encounter with her dad in the kitchen once. He showed his soft side but not towards Deanna. It was for his little granddaughter April. Deanna wanted to say sorry but, he had heard that over and over in the past since the episode. What do you think a teenage daughter would be thinking? Getting the heck out of that house and live with her brother and his girlfriend and baby some where. So, she had a plan. The plan was to get a job and save her money all summer. The thing is she has no clue how her brother and his girlfriend would feel on this subject. IT'S A SECRET.

Story of A Girl Author:Sara Zark

I just got into this book. Deanna Lambert is a character who right now does not go nuts worrying about if this person or that person has heard the rumors from her ex boy friend Tommy. Who by the way is seventeen and Deanna is fourteen.Where I am at. Deanna seems realistic on reality. She and Lee are putting in applications at different stores. Deanna is talking about her family. She has a brother Darren. He lives in the basement of the family home along with his girlfriend Stacey and their baby daughter April. Deanna has plans to move with her brother and his little family. She's planning this and wants to save money because she feels she can help greatly. Sounds good to me. She does reflect on what she has heard . The rumors. Her mind is quit different from the  last girl in the last novel I read. However, right now in this novel  the calm before the storm. Actually right now it is boring but, I am sure this novel will take a twist. How? I can only guess without cheating and taking a fast forward sneak. No, I won't do that. Deanna is still friends with Lee. It is hard to speculate on what kind of character Deanna Lambert is at this point.

A Story Of a Girl By Sara Zark

I am starting another novel this week. Guess what it's about. A girl with a bad reputation. Deanna Lambert is just completing her southmoore year in high school. She lives in sunny California. Lucky duck! She was cleaning out her locker and Bruce Cowell showed up at her locker. There was a rumor started by a guy named Tommy. Bruce was there to giver a hard time. A guy named Jason showed up down the hall. He surprised Bruce and his jock wannabees.Bruce became rough with Jason. I would of stood up for my friend too.The rumor was blown out purport ion like all rumors. Bruce and his followers walked off. Deanna looks at friendships a different way then I do. She believes a good friend is some one you do not have to talk to or see every single second. Deanna feels when this is  part of a relationship it means trust. Deanna and Jason rode the school bus to and from school every day. I did that when I was in high school. The bus driver lived up the street from my house. Deanna's home is located in the flats of Luis Obispo. This is located near the beaches off of Crespi Drive. She was not to thrilled to come home. Her dad was the one who caught her in the back seat of Tommy's car on a school night at 11:00 p.m.She thinks her dad hates her. Deanna did meet a friend at school. Her name was Lee and Deanna thought she was a dork. Lee had hair that was uncontrollable and clothes that she tried to adjust but, the clothes just hung on her. Lee was introduced to Jason and the two became close friends. I believe Deanna became a little jealous. However, her and Jason would spend time together.

Thirteen Reasons Why

The end of the book. This was a wild trip. Hannah had the chance to get to know Clay and she allowed one lousy thought of the past to interfere. Why did she allow herself to dwell on the crap concerning the others and how they perceived her?I just would of held my head up high and went on . Clay should not of split the party. He should of stayed there and tried for another chance. He would of been able to comfort Hannah after witnessing the rape of Jess. Hannah seemed to be tough. However, she just had her mind made up. Jen, should could of called the police to report the stop sign was down. Did she really think she was going to get away with that? I'm wondering how she will feel to receive the tapes?Bryce , shame on him. He is such a dog. He needs his butt kicked. Well Hannah didn't need to be near him either.Clay was the one with the man's wife when her husband came home after the accident. Clay made his way to the rocket ship and climbed as Hannah was talking in the tape with Mr. Porter. I might be slow in figuring out stuff. What was the purpose of the visit to the counselor? I went through a little bit of that emotional roller coaster reading that book. I think Clay did learn from Hannah. He learned that he could not be a chicken when it came to a girl he was starting to be interested in. Sky did not realize but,Clay had ideas about the two of them.

This book has taken off to a unusual direction since my last blog. Clay has been sweating bullets wondering when his name was coming. He has followed the map from the start. He visits the diner that has great milkshakes and beleive me my mouth was watering for a shake while I reading yhis portion of the story. Clay's mom met him at Bessie's Diner with the rest of the tapes. He was hoping she did't listen to ant of them I probably would of listen enough to know it was a girl and then leave them alone. Or would I? Clay's mom stayed for a little while with a big question on her mind. Who was he with? I did not like the fibbing. However, he was a little disturbed all night from those tapes. I felt a little some thing also. Tony, Clay's friend who Clay swiped the walkman from earlier in the story showed up at bessie's Diner. He seemed to be ignoring Clay. It was about closing time and the guy behind the counter was nice to Clay. The expressions on Clay's face gave the guy the impression he wasn't happy. I can guess all the looks that appeared on his face.I would of felt sorry for Clay. Tony went out the door and was sitting in his car in the parking lot. That made me think he knew some thing about what Clay was doing with the walkman. Tony wasn't upset about Clay removing it from the car. I think he knew that it happened. Sure enough, when Clay walked out of the diner;Tony motioned Clay to the car. I would of wondered why. Actually I felt when Tony showed up where Clay was he might of had the copies of the tapes. But, why him?The shocker was when Tony told Clay what tape he was on. That helped me out greatly. I was wondering if I had to wait till the end of the book. This book has taken off to a unusual direction since my last blog. Clay has been sweating bullets wondering when his name was coming. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

The tittle is what the book is about. Thirteen reasons why this girl might of killed herself. I do not

know at this point in the book. The author has structured the guts of this novel to the point I can not put the

book down. He manages to add  other characters who some have been exposed. Myself two really needed

a good wrack from Hannah. The author calculates the right time to get to one's emotional state in this

reading. The tittle represents what can and could happen to a bullied person. He has added the map which

is interesting  and above all adds to the reading as if you are there.Clay is to me one of the major players in

this book. The author has picked very good names for these characters. The Clay person seems to regrets

not being more open to Hannah. The message I get is be more communicative to those who are in your day

day life. Rather if it's in school, your work place. Maybe just waiting for the bus to go home after school. I

wish I could say more about the author on this book but, I do not know any thing more to say until the next

time

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher is really interesting. The thirteen recorded tapes recorded by Hannah

before she goes through her suicide is confusing me at this point. The main characters right now are Clay ,

Hannah. Clay to me is a nice person. Why were the tapes sent to him? Was he mean to her or she has

some nice things to say to him that she couldn't say in person? So far she expresses feelings about this nasty

list made up by a guy student who I feel was mean and this was made to hurt people. I would have

ignored the list. While Clay is listening to the tapes he make comments to himself of why she is doing this.

When will he hear his name pass her lips? Two dialog story is new to my reading experience.Hannah talks

about females and dissects them with her words.Do the rest of the past people who have received these

tapes actually care about the persons mentioned in the tapes? I am wondering what tape has Clay been

mentioned in. The map is a addition to the mystery. Clay seems determined to follow her marked map.

I would to. I am so inquisitive but, on the other hand, I really do not want to find out others' secrets.  I do

hope Clay will come across some one who has already heard the tapes. Will he keep listening to the tapes

if he does meet some one who has already listened to them?Hannah's attitude does not make me convinced

that she is planning her death. She is too calm. There is no hint so far in her recordings what she plans to do

with herself.

Thirteen Reasons Why

This book is very different from other books I have read. I usually read more spirited  country themed books. This book has me feeling for this girl. On the other hand, so far I can not really understand why she has taken the time to record these tapes. I am wondering if the rest of the people who are on the list going to be impacted by these tapes like this girl expects them to. Clay received the tapes. To me at this point I do not see where he figures in on this list. He feels more for her and wonders who else has experienced these tapes. There is a map Hannah has provided that she has marked every where she had experienced some thing. I can only imagine how she felt then and contemplating on ending her life after she records these thirteen tapes. Hannah assumes she had a funeral but, Clay mentions that she did not.She explains her first kiss and how wonderful it was to have her first kiss. Then rumors started . Kids at school can be cruel. The way she describes her past. I assume she was unhappy from where she came from. Like maybe at her old school kids made her feel that her representation was ruined by the exact same type of behavior from the kids at her old school. I was made fun of at high school because of my last name. You just would not believe how many names can be made out of my last name. Mainly boys would be the culprits. I can relate to Hannah to a certain degree..

Blog Test

The experience with different readings enable me to explore different writtings of different authors. The different feel of what the writter wants the reader to invision. I prefer nature type books. Happy ,spirited attitude feeling books.Where the Red Fern grows was the first book I actual read. I had the chance to watch the movie. However, I chose not to because I did not want to know the end before completing the book. Ole Yeller was another book I read and of course at the end of the book I lost a few tears. I love non-fictional books.
